We collect the minimum data needed to run this publication.

Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe, we store your email address, subscription date and status. It is used only to send the weekly issue and occasional operational email about your subscription. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately, no login required.

Link submissions

If you submit a link, we store the URL and any optional name, email or note you provide. This is used only to review the submission editorially.

Analytics

Links in the newsletter route through a tracked redirect so we can see which links and sponsor placements get clicked, and report performance to sponsors. If you are a subscriber, a click on a newsletter link is associated with your subscriber record (via a signed, non-guessable link — never your email address in the URL) so repeat clicks from the same reader aren't counted as separate people; clicks on the public website are not tied to any subscriber. We only ever look at this data in aggregate (e.g. "how many people clicked this link"), never to build an individual reading profile, and we don't sell it to third parties. We do not currently track whether you opened an email, only whether you clicked a link in it. We only know whether an email was accepted by our outgoing mail server, not whether it reached your inbox.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. To request deletion or export of your data, contact mailinglist@aidevlist.io.
